JOHNS HOPKINS STUDENT CENTER

Scope: Facades design coordination

Client: Lindner Steel & Glass

Owner: Johns Hopkins University

Architect: BIG

The new student center for Johns Hopkins University will be a modern, accessible meeting point for students. It will include spaces for relaxation and socialization, co-curricular arts programs, student resources and support services, media and digital media lounges, a performance space, and a dining hall connecting directly to a new plaza.

The design is committed to sustainability with solar panels on the stepped roofs and building structure from DLT and glulam.

The stick-built facades vary with many different intersections due to the stacked massing.
